Dear Valued Customers,
*** Only clients hosted on server listed below will be affected. ***
Affected Server : plesk23.ns01.net 116.12.48.113 plesk24.ns01.net 116.12.48.114
This is an early announcement about Usonyx will arrange to disable SMTP sending without Authentication and remove localhost IP (127.0.0.1) Authenticate method on aforementioned hosting server.
How it affects you? Usonyx shall disable both of the mentioned features (SMTP sending without Authentication and Localhost IP "127.0.0.1") on aforementioned server starting from 14th Dec 2016.
Why we apply it? This is to reduce Spam that relay via IIS due to poor and vulnerability of script/application.
What will happen when this is applied?
Any script / form / application that is using SMTP without authentication will eventually fail.
Any script / form / application authenticate with IP "127.0.0.1" needed to switch to server IP to keep it operate.
Workaround: Create a POP3 account and adjust the script/application to authenticate with the new POP3 account and server IP.
